Digital Literacy Curriculum is designed to ensure that our students are following safe online practices. During the school year schools will organize independent or class presentations followed by a discussion or writing assignment regarding appropriate online behavior. Site Leadership will determine the appropriate content and process to best serve the needs of the school site.

The curriculum will help students focus on avoiding dangerous and inappropriate behavior and to make smart decisions while becoming a digital citizen with a focus on the following topics:

We have chosen to partner with Neptune Navigate. Neptune Navigate teaches students how to be smart and stay safe in the digital world through a comprehensive, engaging online curriculum for students and staff, K-12. The curriculum consists of 8 online modules that are 100% ready to go, with no additional curating content or lesson planning required from you. Four core courses will focus on the topics above with an additional 4 more modules that can be used throughout the school year. Each module contains an instructional video, interactive knowledge checks, and a quiz. The Middle School course contains two additional reading selections with real-world examples and current events.
