Individuals may return to work or school if their symptoms are mild and improving and they have not had a fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. Masking recommendations of 10 days for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 or have respiratory symptoms haven’t changed.
For those who have close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case but are symptom-free, testing is now only recommended for individuals who are at a higher risk of severe illness or have contact with high-risk individuals. Those with symptoms are still advised to get tested and follow masking recommendations.
