Board Of Trustees Meeting Highlights - September 10, 2019

We continue our efforts to communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with our families and staffs. We know not every parent, teacher, or staff member can attend our Board meetings, so we will provide a brief update after each Board meeting, sharing highlights and actions taken by the Board. As always, please let us know how to better serve and communicate with you! We want to be partners with you in the educational journey of the children entrusted to us.

UPDATES:

Superintendent Olson reported it has been a very busy start to the year.  All our schools look wonderful, our teachers are amazing, hitting the ground running and meeting the needs of our students.  Our classified staff continues to be top notch as well.  Our students and families are in excellent hands for sure!  At this point, Mrs. Olson shared with the Board some of the activities that have already occurred at our schools districtwide.

Mrs. Olson also thanked everyone for attending the Staff Appreciation BBQ on September 5.  In addition, she thanked Carter Kelly for their donation for the food, the DeVille family for providing the Rescue Community Center, and Dave and Sean who were the amazing chefs.

The Superintendent reported that we are currently down 72 students from the end of last year however; we typically see an increase over the course of the year.

Lastly looking ahead, Mrs. Olson said we are working diligently on preparing our community to support our bond.  We are meeting with many individuals and groups across our district boundaries, and so far, we have been met with approval and votes of confidence.
